Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta has announced that the President has nominated:
Major General James L. Huggins, Jr., United States Army, for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7, United States Army, Washington, DC. He is currently serving as Commanding General, 82d Airborne Division/Commander, Regional Command South, International Security Assistance Force, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Afghanistan.
