Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III has announced that the President has nominated:

Regular Army

Lieutenant General Joseph P. McGee for reappoinement to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as Director, Joint Staff, Washington, DC. He is currently serving as Director for Strategy, Plans and Policy, J-5, Joint Staff/Senior Member, United States Delegation to the United Nations Military Staff, Washington, DC.

Colonel John W. Sannes for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. He is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Plans and Experiments, G-3/5/7, United States Army Futures Command, Austin, Texas.
